A unique, multi-use fire training facility

The Prince George Airport Authority is proud to house a unique, multi-use fire training facility on our property. In partnership with Firemedix, we use this facility to provide customized, CAR’s-compliant Aircraft Rescue Firefighting (ARFF) Training at our YXS Fire Training Facility.

ARFF INITIAL CARS 323.14 TRAINING (OR 3-YEAR RECERTIFICATION) (5 DAYS; INCLUDES 1 DAY OF LIVE FIRE TRAINING)

This 5-day course meets all aspects of CARs 323.14(1)(a) Generic Training requirements for Aircraft Rescue Fire Fighters, with the exception of 323.14(1)(a)(xii) First Aid.  First Aid can be added on to this course for an additional fee.

$3100.00 + tax and environmental fee per person

Discount available for bookings of 4+ people: $2900.00 + tax and environmental fee per person

SCBA pack rentals available for $100.00 upon request.

Note: CARs 323.14(1)(b) Site-Specific Training, including Airport Familiarization/AVOP/Driver & Operator Training, need to be provided to the participant by their employer as this not included in this course.

LIVE FIRE TRAINING (2 DAYS)

This 2-day course is designed for experienced ARFF members completing recurrent training and who are looking to further develop their skills in a variety of areas including searches, rescues, and command strategies and tactics. This course exceeds all aspects of CARs 323.14(2)(xi) Initial Live-Fire Training & CARs 323.14(4)(b) Recurrent Live-Fire Training requirements for Aircraft Rescue Fire Fighters.

$1925.00 + tax and environmental fee per person

Discount available for bookings of 4+ people: $1825.00 + tax and environmental fee per person

SCBA pack rentals available for $50.00 upon request.

LIVE FIRE TRAINING (1 DAY)

This 1-day course meets and exceeds all aspects of CARs 323.14(2)(xi) Initial Live-Fire Training & CARs 323.14(4)(b) Recurrent Live-Fire Training requirements for Aircraft Rescue Fire Fighters.

$1250.00 + tax and environmental fee per person

ARFF AWARENESS FOR STRUCTURAL FIREFIGHTERS (1 DAY)

This program is designed for city and volunteer fire departments who would respond to an airport/aircraft incident in their community.  This 8-hour course provides structural firefighters with a basic understanding of aircraft firefighting strategies and tactics, in addition to hands on live fire training.

$450.00 + tax and environmental fee per person

SCBA pack rentals available for $50.00 upon request.
